The lockers are located on level 1 of 215 (Engineering Pavillion) in the shower at the back entrance. We recommend you go and have a look which one you would like before purchasing. These lockers are intended for the purchase and use of people who ride bicycles/motorbikes to uni who wish to have access to their locker in the shower area. Within a week of purchasing your locker the combination code will be sent to you via email.
By purchasing a Locker, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Locker use:
1.1. No illegal, hazardous or alcoholic material is to be kept in the lockers. No vandalism of or permanent modification to lockers is permitted. Any breaches may be reported to the Curtin University Engineering Department or WA Police. Any costs for cleaning or repairing lockers shall be charged to the hirer.
1.2. The locker must be cleaned out by the 1st of July if hiring for semester one (1) only or by the 1st of December if hiring for semester two (2) or the entire year, and the lock secured on the locker; otherwise the CEC is not responsible for the contents of the locker after they are cleaned out.
2. Locks:
2.1. The issued combination lock is the responsibility of the hirer for the duration of the hire period. If it is lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, the replacement cost will be charged to the hirer.
2.2. The assigned combination lock may not be replaced with a personal lock. Any non-assigned lock found in use will be destroyed with no reimbursement.
3. Hiring:
3.1. Lockers may be hired for Semester 1, Semester 2 or both semesters of the year of hiring. The nominal hiring period begins at the time of payment and continues until the end of the official examination period for the chosen semester/s. The hiring fee for a locker is due and payable before locker access shall be granted.
3.2. Lockers may be hired on behalf of Guild-affiliated student clubs by individuals; however, hired lockers remain the responsibility of the individual hiring the locker.
3.3. Only one locker may be hired by any one individual. Exceptions may be made for lockers being rented on behalf of clubs, as detailed above.
3.4. Objects left in lockers after the hiring period has expired become property of the Curtin Engineers Club, to be kept, sold, consumed or disposed of as the club sees fit. The Curtin Engineers Club shall endeavour to inform hirers as to the exact date that the lockers will be cleared in preparation for a new hiring period. This is generally 1-2 weeks after the conclusion of the examination period.
4. Disclaimer:
4.1. The Curtin Engineers Club reserves the right to cancel a locker hire due to breaches of any of the terms and conditions agreed to in this document, with no refund of any monies paid or compensation for loss of items, inconvenience or emotional hardships.
4.2. The Curtin Engineers Club reserves the right to refuse to hire lockers for any individual or student club.
